2022 updates (for 2021 tax year)

• Electronic W-2 statements available: VCU employees who have given their eConsent may view and print their 2020 W-2 statements online. Log on to VCU e-services. Click the "Employee" tab, followed by "Tax Forms, Electronic W-2 Earnings Statement." Consent remains in effect until revoked by the employee. • Direct deposit: Electronic payment is a condition of employment for all university employees paid by VCU Payroll Services, as mandated by the Virginia Department of Accounts (which will assess fines for paper checks). An employee can provide banking information to be set up for direct deposit. Direct deposit promotes automation and streamlining efficiencies by offering employees faster access to their pay and the additional security, convenience and flexibility of electronic banking. If an employee is not able to set up or maintain a direct deposit account, the employee will be paid via a prepaid debit card. Please contact VCU Payroll at payroll@vcu.edu to access the direct deposit form or in the event that you are not able to maintain a direct deposit account. Log into the myVCU portal and click "eServices/VCU Self Service" for information about your pay including payment method, gross pay, net pay, and deduction information. Direct deposit should become effective the next available pay period after VCU Payroll receives your completed authorization form.

2020 updates (for 2019 tax year)

Direct deposit: Direct deposit is a condition of employment for all university employees paid by VCU Payroll Services, as mandated by the Virginia Department of Accounts (which will assess fines for paper checks). Direct deposit promotes automation and streamlining efficiencies by offering employees faster access to their pay and the additional security, convenience and flexibility of electronic banking. If you do not currently have an account at a financial institution, you must obtain one in order to meet this condition of employment. Otherwise, there will be a delay in receiving your paycheck. Please contact VCU Payroll at payroll@vcu.edu to access the direct deposit form.

Log into the myVCU portal and click "eServices/VCU Self Service" for information about your pay including payment method, gross pay, net pay, and deduction information.
